We will be attending the 4:10 pm showing of "Skyfall" - the latest 007 adventure - at the Thornton Place Cinema which is located at the south end of the Northgate Mall. It has been 50 years since 007 first appeared on a movie screen (note: variations that are not part of the Broccoli franchise are not counted in this time line), and this appearance is considered by critics to be one of the best ever. Here is what Roger Ebert said in his review which gave "Skyfall" four stars out of four:
"In this 50th year of the James Bond series, with the dismal "Quantum of Solace" (2008) still in our minds, "Skyfall" triumphantly reinvents 007 in one of the best Bonds ever. This is a full-blooded, joyous, intelligent celebration of a beloved cultural icon, with Daniel Craig taking full possession of a role he earlier played well in "Casino Royale," not so well in "Quantum" -- although it may not have been entirely his fault. Or is it just that he's growing on me? I don't know what I expected. I don't know what I expected in Bond No. 23, but certainly not an experience this invigorating."

Thornton Place Cinemas was selected for this meetup because of the abundance of free parking nearby and because it is next to the Northgate Transit Center making it convenient to public transit patrons. Furthermore, there are several inexpensive cafes and restaurants nearby for socializing after the film.
Meet me outside the screening room where the 4:10 pm showing will be presented. I am an Asian male who wears glasses and who will probably be wearing some type of hat (khaki beret, black rain hat). There is a head shot of me in the photo section of my profile so you can see for whom to look. My cell phone,[masked], will be on until the start of the program.
There will be an optional food and beverage stop at the conclusion of the film (conclusion = after all of the credits have scrolled by). Meet me in the down stairs lobby of the theater just inside the glass doors.
PS: The Barbican Center in London had an exhibition this year titled "Designing 007: 50 Years of Bond Style" which had props from all of the Bond films. Here is a link to the exhibition's site where two interesting videos can be viewed:
