My Eastside Social Club received passes for a FREE screening and EARLY entry to "Hyde Park on Hudson" and if we have extra passes, I'd like to invited Seattle Cinema club to join us. The movie starts at 7pm, but you must be there by 6pm to get in. Cannot say if you'd be allowed in after 6:15pm so don't be late. Space is limited and not guaranteed, but chances are good for you getting in. ~Claudette
This is how it works:
- If there is space, the people on the list will get early entry. 1st come 1st served. Availability not guaranteed. Previous no-shows may not be admitted.
- This event is for Members only. If you note +1 (or the like), your RSVP will be removed.
- Arrive no later than 6pm. Meet along the side of the escalator facing the poster wall (i.e. on the right as you going up the escalator). Claudette will arrive by 6pm to hand out the screening tickets at the theater. If you are late, you may lose your spot.
- Join the wait list in case there are no-shows. Trying something different to ensure we don't waste tickets: If you sign up for the wait list (do join the list, not just show up), come to the theatre to see if you can make the early entry group. Though space is not guaranteed, I might be able to get extra tickets so do sign up and show up. :)
Story: In June 1939, President Franklin Delano Roosevelt (Academy Award nominee Bill Murray) and his wife Eleanor (Olivia Williams) host the King and Queen of England (Samuel West and Olivia Colman) for a weekend at the Roosevelt home at Hyde Park on Hudson, in upstate New York – the first-ever visit of a reigning English monarch to America. With Britain facing imminent war with Germany, the Royals are desperately looking to FDR for support. But international affairs must be juggled with the complexities of FDR’s domestic establishment, as wife, mother, and mistresses all conspire to make the royal weekend an unforgettable one. Seen through the eyes of Daisy (Academy Award nominee Laura Linney), Franklin’s neighbor and intimate, the weekend will produce not only a special relationship between two great nations, but, for Daisy – and through her, for us all – a deeper understanding of the mysteries of love and friendship.

FYI: A couple other select Meetup groups have been invited to this event so there will be more people attending than you see RSVPd here. Please sign up for one group only.
