The Good Dog, Bad Leash Weekly Walk

  • This location is shown only to members

  • Hey Everybody!

We're moving the weekly walk to alternating between Friday and Sunday evening.

This is a weekly walk for dogs with with any kind of on-leash behavior issues.  Chasing squirrels!  Barking all crazy!  Lunging at bicyclists!!!

Loosely, we're thinking of this as a little less social than the usual meetups. more of a quick 30ish minute walk to give the dogs some regular practice.

Of course, all sorts of dogs welcome.  Highly reactive?  Heck yes, you definitely should come.  Super mellow?  Heck yes, having calming zen tea influences awesome!

These walks are perfect for just your kind of situation. The dogs never actually meet, just walk in the group together, and you can walk as close to or as far from the group as your dog is comfortable. This is a great group that understands the need for socilaization and exercise for dogs with "issues." :)

Hi there - I have a dog that is wary (and therefore reactive) to everything. With the way you have things set up, would it be easy for us to keep our distance, yet still walk with the pack? Typically, as a walk progresses, my dog gets more and more comfortable, but given it will be a new environment with new dogs, I want to do my best to set my dog up for success. Thanks!

We'll be getting back from Portland on Sunday so can't commit to the Walk. But if we're up for it and back in time, we'll be there.
