Bellevue Arts Museum: Free First Friday

This is Free First Friday! Wendy Maruyama will be lecturing. If you are curious, you can look at her website here:

http://wendymaruyama.com/home.html

I truly enjoyed the origami exhibit that is showing right now (http://www.bellevuearts.org/exhibitions/current/folding_paper/index.html) and am looking forward to seeing it again. If you want to get psyched about it, look up a documentary called, Between the Folds.

http://www.pbs.org/independentlens/between-the-folds/

Eastside Social will likely be there too so there should be plenty of people to meet.

6-6:30p Meet-n-Greet inside the front entrance. I'll likely be to the right near the bench. (Eastside Social is usually there too so there'll be lots of meetup-ers to meet.)

***We'll look around the exhibit at our own pace. Arrive earlier if you want more time with the exhibit and then meet the group at 6.

7pm- 8pm First Friday Talks: Wendy Maruyama: Executive Order 9066 -

See more at: http://www.bellevuearts.org/calendar/index.html#search-by=day&query=9/5/2014

*** BAM requests that you RSVP for the lecture using the above link

8pm Museum Closes

***If you are interested in meeting up afterwards  we can coordinate after the talk or post a comment.

Parking: There are limited free Museum spaces in the garage attached to the museum. However, you must make sure to retrieve your car before the garage closes. I prefer to park at Bellevue Square across the street.

Traffic: It is downtown Bellevue on a Friday night so be patient and allow yourself plenty of time.

Do you think maybe some of you could do the rest of us a courtesy and let us know if you actually aren't going to show up? The thing is that we look for you if you say you are coming. I hesitated to write this because I don't want to make anyone feel bad but do you think maybe next time you could consider that-- if you didn't already? Thank you. It really helps me out with the responsibilities that I have as an organizer.

If you are on the waiting list, you are invited!! Something happened with the settings on this event and i accidentally set a limit of people who can attend. There is no limit, so please join us. Again, if you will be attending the lecture, please remember to get your ticket at the above link. Thanks Everyone! See you tonight!

If you're attending the lecture with us, please don't forget to buy your ticket ($5) at the above link. If you are a BAM member, I don't think you need one but be sure and check.
