Klonaqua Lakes Backpack

It's another hike for those of you who can get some weekdays off!  This is a hike to Klonaqua Lakes up the French Creek Trail. The plan will be to meet at the Woodinville Park & Ride at 7am and carpool to the trailhead up Icicle Creek. We'll plan to hike to the lakes and stay 2 nights, giving us time to do some day hiking from the lakes to nearby lakes or ridges.

The hike to the lakes is about 9 miles and about 2000 feet of elevation gain, so it could be a long day. Plan for a light pack and plan for 7-9 hours of steady hiking. I'm happy to share some gear like stoves and water filter to save weight. If you have questions or suggestions, post a comment and let's have a dialog.

We can stop in Leavenworth post hike for an early dinner after the hike.

Wonderful trip!!! Even painful bush whacking to upper lake resulted a pleasure. Rick and Mark is excellent BP companions. Looking forward for the next one.

Hi Mark, I'd like be your carpool passenger.
Hi Rick, (1) IF Mark can't make it, let's try carpool with yours. (2) Did you find out this P&R allow 72 hrs overnight?
    Thanks,

So far (unless I get called last minute to work those days) I will drive and can pick up 1 passenger at the Woodinville P&R at 7am. I can haul a few extra packs in the back of my truck too. Just talked to the Ranger station and the trail was just cleared of brush and trees.

I'm totally new and no experience in backpacking and low stamina in hiking. Is that alright for me to join? I would love to learn and enjoy the journey. Any requirement for this event? Thanks.
