Burlesque and cabaret has a long history in Seattle. From the Pink Door in Pike Place Market to the Triple Door in Downtown to smaller theaters throughout the city, burlesque can be found every night of the week. A traditionally LGBT and women focused art form, burlesque and cabaret has evolved to include people of all genders, sexual orientations, and body type.
We are here to preserve an art form that goes back to the 1800s. Modern burlesque and cabaret pulls from traditional pin-up to modern pop culture. There are many sub-genres of burlesque, such as classical, neo-classical, nerdlesque, gorelesque, and boylesque. This is an art form that has something for everyone.
