Upcoming events (4+)
Welcome all game writers, narrative designers, voice actors and more to the Seattle Indies Writer's Room! Bring your scripts, flowcharts, character bibles or whatever you're working on to share and get feedback on your storytelling.
Every couple months we get together to go over each others prototypes, visual novels, pitches, interactive fiction, or any writing content intended for games. Scripts will be read out loud and we will cover as much as folks have time for, so please be respectful of the other writers. Long form discussion and larger works should be discussed in the #narrative or #critique channels of the Seattle Indies Discord.

Curious how to start learning something? Want to chat with someone of another discipline? Need a place to work on a project and share it with others? ISG is a social, game development focused work group that encourages people of all skill levels and disciplines to come together and collaborate for the benefit of all.
This is a great place to begin your game development journey and learn from fellow game creators as they work on their projects.
To attend, you must be fully vaccinated (second shot received by October 5th). Note that you will need to bring proof of vaccination (a photo on your phone is okay) and identification.
Bring your laptop and any software you will need to work on your game/art/music.
How it Works:
• Show up, introduce yourself, let everyone know what you hope to accomplish
• Ask for help with anything, get to know others, share your projects, or enjoy the company of others as you work!
• Share your highs and lows, high fives all around

How to find us:
It can be kind of hard to find us! We are on the 4th floor of the Armory building. Follow the signs to the restrooms, and nearby you'll find the stairs and the elevator. Take one of those to the fourth floor and look for the Seattle Indies banner.

Accessibility information:

Once a week, take a Coffee Break, and chat with your local game devs!
Meet new folks. Talk about games. Share your work. Ask for help / feedback. Commiserate over problems. Collaborate on solutions. Give high-fives.
We're a weekly social work group for game devs of all levels and disciplines. Join us on Discord every Saturday from 1pm to 7pm! Drop by anytime; folks usually drop in and out throughout the day.
How to join the call:
- Join the Discord: discord.gg/join-seattle-indies
- Join the "Coffee Break" voice channel (just click on it)
- Folks will probably be talking over each other when you first join.
- Feel free to lurk, or just shout your own thoughts!
- Feel free to (optionally) screenshare.
- There is also a ☕-coffee-break text channel to hop in and chat, share memes and inks and screenshots of your work.
Heads-up: We've found that Discord's desktop app works better than Discord's web app, so we recommend downloading that over using the web application.

FAQ
