Monthly Meetup

  • Sep 11, 2014 · 6:00 PM

Join us Thursday, September 11 at Porch's amazing office for another SeattleJS.

Beer and pizza will be provided by Porch (thanks!), starting at 6:00PM. Talks will start at 6:30PM.

We will have two talks:

Max Nachlinger: Your app is awesome - that's why you're working on it - but it's only in English, and speakers of other languages should experience it too. Localization is a hard, sprawling, topic, but I'll show you how a friend and I were able to implement a few different languages in our app. (more)

Dusty Jewett: Refactoring Legacy JS. The JS landscape changes so fast that even a young startup you'll find yourself dealing with legacy code... We'll look at the different steps you can take to improve code quality, introduce new features and start playing with new frameworks, all without having to convince your boss that you'll need to rewrite everything from scratch.

After the meetup, we'll head to a nearby bar for drinks (email us with suggestions).

Would you like to give talk at the next meetup? Write us at [masked]
