Details

Join us May 14 at Google in Fremont, Center of the Universe, for another space-and-time bending SeattleJS. In addition to cat GIFs, we'll be joined by Henrik Joreteg.

Henrik is the lead developer of Ampersand.js (http://ampersandjs.com/), a highly modular, loosely coupled, non-frameworky framework for building advanced JavaScript apps. He'll give us an overview of Ampersand, and compare and contrast its approaches to other tools for building client side apps.

To learn more about him, read his Opinionated rundown of JS frameworks post (http://blog.andyet.com/2014/08/13/opinionated-rundown-of-js-frameworks), watch his Single Page Story talk from FFConf (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hrAssE8meRo&index=6&list=PLXmT1r4krsTqrwW2jjXIXuCtFQ-5BIn-s) or read his free online book Human JavaScript (http://read.humanjavascript.com/).

@HenrikJoreteg (http://twitter.com/henrikjoreteg) is a partner and lead JS developer at &yet (http://andyet.com/). A software consulting company focused on providing node.js and JavaScript applications.

This month's meetup is generously hosted by Google.

Food sponsored by Speedtest.net/Ookla (http://ookla.com/), who is hiring senior JavaScript/Node.js engineers in Seattle. Working with Speedtest is the best of both worlds: they’re a remote company that also has a Downtown Seattle office when it’s useful to get together. Representatives from Speedtest will be on-hand to connect with those interested in learning more.
