Dine at The Whale Wins.

RSVPs will open 03/24/2013 at 6:00 pm sharp.

Why is there a RSVP open date?

RSVPs will not be opened until about 2 weeks before the event (on Sunday, March 24th at 6:00 pm). This will hopefully help with our waiting list, no-shows and late RSVP-change problems. I want to make members aware of the events coming up so they can plan accordingly, however not have people become “click-happy”.

The Whale Wins is another feather in Chef Renee Erickson’s cap and, no surprise, Seattle’s one of 2012’s best restaurant. And, this is one of the few restaurants that actually lives up to the hype.
I am ardent fan of Boat Street and The Walrus and the Carpenter and I was looking forward to Erickson’s 3rd installment. In spite of this, I was skeptical before dining here when every piffling magazine started writing rave reviews about it, locally and nationally. However, despite not having huge expectations, I was still hopeful after hearing so many good things about them, and The Whale Wins did not disappoint!

All my doubts were put to rest after I had my first and one of the best dining experiences at The Whale Wins. The food was approachable, made using the best local ingredients and delivered on flavor. Since then I have eaten over here twice and each time the food was relentlessly inventive, fun, delicious and exciting. Personally, I think the restaurant manages to put out excellent food and hopes people respond. I can't remember one dish I didn't completely enjoy. Some of the dishes Stumped me and some just WOWed my heart!!! After your senses recover from being stunned, you wonder why did I share this delightful dish.

The Whale Wins is located at the Fremont Collective, the high-ceilinged converted warehouse space on Stone Way. The kitchen is open with everything being executed before your eyes. You can see the concentration and love placed in each well thought out dishes. If you like small plates, enjoy sharing, expect reliable and attentive service while dining, and are not afraid of food; this is the place for you

Why should you come to The Whale Wins?
• If you live to entice your taste buds
• If you’re for nicely executed dishes
• If you’re for sharing, tasting, conversing and enjoying
• If you want to see for yourself if THE WHALE WINS

There is a No Show policy (two strikes)
This place doesn't take reservations and this reservation was hard to score. So please no no-shows or last minute cancellations.

Please note I have locked down the RSVPs 24 hrs prior, i.e, no one on the waiting list moves up after that point. This is so that I can give the restaurant a final count at that point. Any member who changes their RSVP after the set deadline, without contacting me, either by phone or email, will be marked as a No-Show.
I will email everyone that has RSVP'ed yes, the night before with my cell phone number.
Please be considerate and update your RSVP if it changes. PLEASE NO NO-SHOWS.

Read more here:

Please keep your RSVP up to date. To discourage no-shows & last minute cancellations, I will be managing the waiting list in manual mode. What this means? If you’re frequenter in RSVPing for events and backing out last minute, I will give preference to other members whose RSVPs are more reliable.

*******I will schedule one or more meetup/s for this place, depending on how much interest or response this event generates. *********
