More STF friends requested another dinner outing and it looks like I have a break on my schedule.. Enjoy the Sun and come in for a late dinner.
This place is a hidden gem, off the main thoroughfare in Wallingford. It specializes in Taiwanese fare and a few Chinese favorites.
This hole in the wall location is off the beaten path. But worth the find. Taiwanese dim sum and dishes. Just like the street food on the streets of Taipei.
Despite blunt service, you can't help but fall in love with the Wok's spice and flavor explosions. The eggplant with basil practically melts in the mouth, and the crunchy honeydew shrimp, slathered in a delightfully gooey melon sauce, takes the taste buds on a tropical retreat. Traditional Taiwanese offerings include squid potage, stinky tofu with kimchee, and the popular (and veggie) thousand-layer green pancake. I hear the the soup dumplings (Long Xia Bao) are fantastic.
-Large variety of menu items
-Tasteful, flavorful (Taiwanese) style dishes
We will have tables of 10-14 people where someone will explain what the dishes are. Then everyone will have a taste of all the different items that are ordered. Come enjoy fun people who enjoy good food. Taiwan dishes will be very affordable!!
