Hawaii BBQ.. I see him every week to get my plate lunch fix. And his menu has grown.  The food speaks for it self. Home cooked in front of you and in good time.

As for ordering, there is still a menu with a long list of items to choose from. And my thoughts on the food here has not changed. The plates are still massive, and the food is delcious. Many of the plates here are also different than the plates you find in Hawaii. The standard carb offerings on Hawaiian plate lunches is white rice and macaroni salad, whereas fried rice seems standard on many plates here.

On the plus side, the chicken katsu here is excellent. It is as good as the best in Hawaii. The breading is done right and the chicken has the right amount of moistness. It is good on its own or with some ketchup on top.

If you are looking for large portions of food affordable prices in the U-District, Hawaii BBQ is that place

Hawaii BBQ food is not only delicious but reasonably priced.

Then after dinner we will be walking over to Burke to view
