Key Responsibilities

1. Carry out day-to-day quality assurance work including test analysis, design and manual execution
2. Work with test analysts and development teams to identify ideal candidate projects for test automation
3. Work with test analysts and development teams to identify the best approach to test automation on individual projects
4. Design and implement custom testing tools and harnesses which fit within a division-wide automated testing infrastructure
5. Maintain existing automated testing tools and harnesses so as to keep up with product development
6. Maintain adequate documentation about testing tools and harnesses
7. Research and recommend the use of third-party or open source tools when relevant.

      Requirements  - Essential Knowledge and Experience
      1. Degree in computer science or related discipline
      2. Excellent programming skills in one of Java, C# or Ruby
      3. Knowledge of third-party and open source testing technologies such as Cucumber, Selenium-RC + XPath, and Firebug
      4. Basic working knowledge of SQL
      5. Willingness and ability to learn and apply new languages and technologies
      6. Working knowledge test design techniques
      7. 2 years experience in a similar position
      8. Aptitude for research with a creative approach to problem solving.
      Desirable Knowledge and Experience
      1. ISEB Foundation Certificate in Testing
      2. Experience on both Windows and Linux platforms
      3. Previous experience in web and media environment.
