Selenium Whiteboard Night Is Back!

We're bringing back the wildly popular "Whiteboard Night" for our October Selenium meetup at Eventbrite! In case you missed the last one, the format works as follows:

#SFSE members are invited to present, in picture form, how their company uses Selenium. Each speaker will be set up with their own whiteboard and should come prepared to draw their testing infrastructure out. Attendees will then walk around to each of the different presenters, exploring how these companies are testing and exchanging ideas on what works and what doesn't.

The format will be unstructured in that attendees can walk from whiteboard to whiteboard at leisure, staying for as little or as long as he or she would like. Questions for the presenters are encouraged, so don't be shy in engaging in discussions about the tools or methodologies people are using.

Here are the great participants you'll be hearing from:

Brian O'Neill, Senior QA Automation Engineer at Eventbrite

Denali Lumma, QA Lead at Okta

Joe Mathes, Software Engineer at Sauce Labs

Peter Braden, Senior Automation Engineer at Yammer

Engineers from Workday

Special Guests, Engineers and Consultants at a Major Domestic Airline

Thanks to the kind folks at Eventbrite for offering up their space and their whiteboards! Look forward to seeing you all at the meetup!

I really liked this event. I learned some cool things. The best was the diagram showing how the Yammr folks run (non-Selenium) JavaScript unit tests on SauceLabs.

Great event! Fascinating to hear how test automation really works in so many different organizations.

Outstanding. Ashley and I discussed ways for attendees to see all the presentations, but even if none was implemented, there's always asking for encores.

okta's Denali Lumma was awe-inspiring and eventbrite's Brian O'Neill handled a deluge of questions superbly! Very interesting format--it worked way better than I envisioned!

Just wondering if the event will be recorded and be made available as a screencast somewhere. Thanks in advance.
