I'm very excited to announce the topic of our next meetup, especially given its close proximity to the first Mobile Testing Summit (http://www.mobiletestsummit.com/) happening November 1. Join us 11/15 for a meetup with Jason Carr, a mobile automation developer at Sauce Labs (http://saucelabs.com/), as he provides a sweeping overview of the current test automation landscape for mobile web and native apps.
Here's his full abstract:
Selenium has grown to be a mature platform on the desktop, but with 'mobile now' being the mantra for so many companies, can we use Selenium to effectively test mobile apps? What about Native apps? This talk will cover various approaches to testing mobile web applications with Selenium, as well as an in depth overview of the future of Selenium to test Native iOS and Android applications.
The Mobile Testing Summit is sold out at this point, but Jason will cover many of the tools being discussed there. If you're building mobile apps and needing a way to test them, this is a great (free) opportunity to see what's out there.
Thanks to our friends at Lookout (https://www.lookout.com/) for hosting us. We appreciate it!
