What is your history with sewing?

I started with doll clothes as a child. Then when I had my children I felt a strong urge to make halloween costumes and other holiday decorations for my children as my mom did for me.

Tell us about your sewing machine(s).

I have 3, a Riccar that my mom did all of her sewing on. Another that my great grandmother bought in the late 60's and another vintage machine purchased from my neighbor's estate.

When you make a mistake while sewing, what do you do?

Unpick and try to find a video on the internet that will show me a better way to do the task.

What's your favorite thing you've ever sewn? Can we see a picture?

Lately I've made a nice set up knit pajamas for my 6 yo daughter. Yes, I have pictures and will share.

If skill, time, and resources were no issue, what would you sew right now?

What wouldn't I sew is an easier question to answer and honestly I can't think of anything I wouldn't try. But my first project would be a set of lovely curtains for my house that would coordinate with throw pillows and satiny pillow cases.

Introduction

My love affair with fabric and yarn started while watching my mother and grandmothers sew and craft. Now I'm a mom and have picked up sewing again and I really want to sew clothing for my family and home.
