What is your history with sewing?

Am fairly new and eager to learn. My grandmother was a seamstress and worked in factories in NYC. I inherited her antique industrial machine and felt the call to learn to sew.

Tell us about your sewing machine(s).

I have a brother serger and a singer sewing machine but hope to get a Janome for my birthday later this month.

When you make a mistake while sewing, what do you do?

I always make a mistake so I have my seam ripper handy at all times.

What's your favorite thing you've ever sewn? Can we see a picture?

I just finished a faux knit wrap dress, and by far its my favorite. Even my husband was impressed.

If skill, time, and resources were no issue, what would you sew right now?

Roman shades for all the windows in my house.

I am 38 and live in Round Rock with my husband, toddler and 2 dogs.
