Speaker Guidelines and Tips

Thank you for volunteering to speak at the SF Globalization Meetup. To make the event a success, we offer some guidelines to you. Please let the SF Globalization Leadership Team know of any other requirements you may have. We look forward to your talk.

  • Once a date is confirmed for your talk, send the meetup Admins your biography (about 5 lines with a link to additional details, if desired) and an abstract of your presentation, which we will publish on the event page and for announcements. The abstract should describe your talk, focusing on how it is relevant to those who are part of the GILT industry. Please refrain from any product or service advertisements.
  • The presentations are scheduled from 7:00 - 8:00 PM PT, with networking before and after.
  • Be sure to let the SF Globalization team or the host company know what time you plan to arrive so they can help you test any A/V and WiFi connections well in advance of the start of the presentation time.
  • Specify the type of device you will bring so that the connectors are available, unless you will provide them.
  • The host company will provide presentation screens, microphones and internet access.
  • Do not discuss any topic that is confidential or proprietary. Our policy is that all presentations and discussions are public and can be free disclosed with and among the attendees.
  • We generally do not record or livestream the presentations, but do let us know if you have any restrictions.
  • Let us know at the end of the event if your slides are available on a public hosting service (such as slideshare) or if you will provide a link to resources.
