• Developing Modern PHP Applications
Building From Scratch: Developing Modern PHP Applications from the Ground Up PHP Server development has come a long way. A lot needs to be considered when creating a new server application; starting from the platform, web server, framework, database, caching, UI framework, deployment, debugging, to monitoring in production. In this talk I will go over the popular options and choices, discuss their advantages and disadvantages and provide recommendations based on my own experience of creating many such applications that serve millions of requests every day. presented by: Naveed Khan Director, Software Engineering and Backend Lead for Design Home **** November Meetup graciously hosted by Glu Mobile **** if you are interested in presenting at this or any other SF PHP Meetups please contact the Organizer through Meetup message

  • SF PHP - Developers Open Mic
SF PHP Meetup - at Crunchy Roll And its a PHP Open Mic Night ( in other words short presentations from the community ) Show us what you are working on, a new library you discovered, an established tool that you finally started working with (like composer or guzzle), some helpful hints when using tools like an IDE - or even your favorite JS memes. Or have you started working with a Library, an API etc - and you have questions? Show us some code and ask about best strategies etc. So this will be very informal and we are not expecting a polished presentation. But by including a number of points of view it should be informative. And if you are not used to getting up in front of people for demos etc, then this will be a relaxed & supportive place to get that experience. Meetup Location: Crunchy Roll is in the professional offices at 835 Market Street, 7th Floor. Please enter on Market Street in between the Walgreens and Timberland Store, look for the purple SF State flag. Once entering the building, please ask security to key you up to the 7th floor.
