What we're about

Introverts Unite! Welcome to the SF Bay Area Social Introverts. An introvert is a person who recharges by being alone. This is a place for people who are broadening their social worlds slowly.

You've come to the right place if you're looking to step out of your comfort zone, grow personally, and meet some fun new friends.

So you made it this far and saw our group page, so you must be wondering if you must be an introvert to join this group and come to our events? The answer is not at all! We welcome introverts, extroverts, ambiverts, and not-sure-verts. You'll notice during your first event that we're similar to other social meetups you might have been to in the past, except for one important difference - we go out of our way to make introverts, and shy people feel extra-welcome and included. To paraphrase Susan Cain - "Social meetups have a cultural bias towards extroverts." We try to make that bias less felt at our events.

That being said, as somebody who used to be shy, I know what it's like trying to make new friends or show up at a big social event. I know it's uncomfortable to step into discomfort and meet new people, but I also now know that as Neal David Walsch says - “Life begins at the end of your comfort zone.”

If you're still feeling too shy to come out to an event, please send us an email above and we will do everything possible to make coming out to that first event as easy as possible.
