two social opportunities this month -- your feedback appreciated

Hi everybody,

Coming up this month we're holding two different social-type events.

SEASTEADING SIMULATION GAME (aka "the LARP") -- Feb 13th in Palo Alto (Stanford)

Maybe you got a chance to do the Seasteading Simulation Game at this past year's Seasteading Conference, but chances are the majority of you have not.

(I, in fact, have not tried it, so I'm really curious.)

We have arranged a large room at Stanford (courtesy of our intrepid video documentarian, Jason Sussberg) for 20 to 40 people to intellectually explore the trials and tribulations of seasteading through the live-action-role-playing game that Patri Friedman developed.

This event will be hosted by Patri. An official Meetup event will be posted for this shortly.

AQUARIUM OF THE BAY - Tues Feb 23rd OR Sat Feb 27th - San Francisco

Towards the end of this month, we'd like to visit the Aquarium of the Bay.

Here's where feedback would be especially appreciated. If we held it on a Tuesday afternoon -- which is when they feed the sharks! -- how many of you would be able to come? Or should we do this on a weekend afternoon instead?

One advantage of Tuesday (in addition to the shark feeding) is that it's a Free Day for Alameda County residents. So all you Oakland, Alameda, and Berkeley folks get in free.

Please vote -- Tuesday or Saturday?
