Bay Area Natural Horsemanship - Facebook Group

  • Needs a date

  • Needs a location

Natural Horsemanship is a philosophy of working with horses based on their natural herd instincts. The safe and calm relationship between the horse and human is dependant upon mutually understood body language, using firm but fair methods of pressure and release.
This is a new group for people in the Bay Area who practice Natural Horsemanship. All styles are welcome.
If you would like to connect with Natural Horsemanship people locally, this is a great place for that. Looking for local advice? Have some local advice to give? Perhaps you would like to meet someone to do groundwork and ride with?
Potentially we could have a meet up or go for a group ride.

Good afternoon, recently I have been inspired by a dance choreographer, also advanced in horsemanship, who combines the two to makes dances. She has recommended I contact Parelli trained instructors to learn from. In addition, I would love to meet good people and horses to discuss experiences and gain awareness. Any other advice on where to start this new adventure is welcome. Many thanks, Amelia

      Hi Amelia

I'm training two horses at a beautiful ranch in Pacifica. I use a combination of Clicker Training (like people do with dogs), Parelli and the Clinton Anderson Method (an Australian trainer). I use a tonne of positive reinforcement. The horses love it and learn really fast. I'd be happy to meet up in SF to chat. I'll be back in the country in about a week. If you like, email me and we can take it from there. [masked]
