San Francisco Chihuahua April Meetup

  • This location is shown only to members

April....Let's celebrate the April with our chihuahuas, chi-mixes and small dogs! What a fun way to spend your afternoon...adorable dogs & great people! Yeah, its a tax month but let's have some fun....we will have a great raffle thanks to the generosity of our many members! Among the prizes...dog sitting, dog walking, doggy massage, jewelery, dog beds....much much more! We will have wonderful dogs available for adoption and we will take time out to meet all of these little dogs. Hopefully, soomeone will fall in love with a homeless pup or two! A Leg Up Rescue, Grateful Dogs Rescue and Muttville will be there with amazing little dogs! And we will have rescue groups there to discuss how to be a foster parent and what it means to the dogs and YOU! DIRECTIONS The entrance to the dog park is located off of Sloat Boulevard just west of 19th Avenue. Drive west on Sloat and turn right on Vale. Drive one block and cross Crestview where you will see the gate to the dog park. Drive down the steep hill and voila, there is the large parking lot. Use Google or Yahoo Maps for the best directions! It is not always easy to find if you are new to the group...so print up directions.

it was raining cats and dogs, pun intended. It is especially hard when you don't have a car. A luxury that I can ill afford to be without. So I can just imagine what you go through on a daily basis. With 5 dogs, my darling husband and my daughter, the bus is not an option. See you next week.

Dear Beza, We missed you, Mijo and Bambi at the meetup. We even missed your mom & dad :)

Sorry we missed it! Our mom and dad were lazy and scared of the rain. Mijo was going to drive us but I couldn't reach the gas and break and Bambi was hiding under the covers. Thanks for organizing Kate and Michael. See you next week!

    Love Beza

The rain dampened the faint of heart but there was enough people there to talk to. We and our dogs got very wet. Thank goodness I remember to bring towels and two extra sweaters for the dogs. We also stopped by Petco and bought two more rain coats for the dogs. We will be ready for the next downpour.

The rain came early! The crowd was small but still about 18 people and 20+ dogs were out at Stern Grove !! Thank you to Anna & Nick for the cupcakes in celebration of Dusty's first bday! See you next week at Sunday Streets!

A rainy windy afternoon at the dog park but there were brave dogs and crazy people who came out for afternoon. And it was Dusty's first bday...so there were yummy treats!

Ok sorry all but I turned around and came home when it started raining, I dont have a car and baby will not walk in the rain (she will find a sheltered place and just sit till I pick her up) so it becomes a nightmare of a day when I have to take a bus to the Muni and then walk from the Muni to the Park, and do the same on the way home in the rain, Happy Easter all and see you next Sunday

What about the rain? It's going to be starting to pour down at noon (big storm setting in)..is there an indoor alternate place??

Rain doesn't stop these Chis. Rain or shine, the core group is always there. Personally, Hogan doesn't like the rain (or is it her mommy), so we skip the rainy meetups.
