Meet BRUNO MARS, an adorable milk chocolatey brown, sweet and loving 7lb neutered male long haired Chihuahua who we think is about 6 yrs old. He was found running across Cesar Chavez mid-day in heavy traffic. Alll the information on his tag (address, phone number, even his name) turned out to be incorrect. Additionally he was not microchipped, nor did he fit any of the descriptions on the 'lost dog' forms at Animal Care and Control. I didn't have the heart to leave him at ACC given the loads of Chihuahuas they already had, so he's been with us since. He's been neutered and brought up to date on shots and heartworm prevention. Bruno (or Bruni Bruns, Brunito Friskito - he has all sorts of nicknames): - Is really good with dogs (we've had ones from 3 yrs old up to 15 1/2) - Is fine with cats after an appropriate introduction and adjustment period - Really enjoys respectful kids (even toddlers) - Is game to play fetch or go for long walks (our longest in distance was about 3 miles, and longest in time was about 2 hrs) yet not at all hyper or nervous in the house. He loves his walks, but loves a cuddle and a nap too. - Is house trained and can 'hold it' for about 8-10 hours - Likes to sleep in - Does not resource or food guard - Favorite places to sleep are: in a cat bed, under our bed, snuggled with his stuffed tiger. (It's ridiculously cute.) He is a wonderful little dog that is completely secure and trustworthy in the house yet admittedly does need some work around his reactivity to bicycles and the occasional male stranger entering the home (no issues with men when out on walks). He is a very loving companion and while we really enjoy having him, we do senior/hospice fostering for Norcal Golden Retriever Rescue and usually have a full house, and therefore it was never our plan to keep him. Please feel free to contact me for more information - Apryl von Arlt
