OPEN TO ALL PROSPECTIVE PARENTS (including single parents, heterosexual and LGBTQI families) & HEALTH PROVIDERS .

Facilitated by Maya Scott-Chung, MPH, Education Coordinator of Laurel Fertility Care and
Shannon Casey of Our Family Coalition, QPlay and SMC Pride Initiative
Why: An introduction to conception options for individuals and families to learn more about fertility and family building options. Presenters will discuss options available both at home and in the clinic setting. Topics include home insemination, IUI, mini-IVF, In Vitro Fertilization (IVF), IVF with partner or donor eggs and surrogacy. We will have Q&A time to discuss some of the medical, financial, emotional and legal questions that couples (heterosexual and LGBTQI), single parents and extended families face in the family building journey.

This event is part of Our Family Coalition’s monthly Prospective Parents Potluck series. Our Family Coalition promotes the equality and well-being of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer families with children. We foster community leadership in advocacy efforts that promote social justice.

We welcome local fertility-focused therapists, acupuncturists, OBGYNs, urologists, midwives, RNs, NPs, family practitioners, support groups and organizations to bring your materials. We will have time for personal and professional introductions.
