We have two exciting talks about Dart (http://www.dartlang.org/) in February!
Talk #1 — With Dart and Web Components by Seth Ladd
About Seth Ladd
Seth is a web engineer and Developer Advocate at Google, where he works with web developers and the Dart team. He is a conference organizer, book author, and loves badminton.
Talk #2 — Bringing SIMD to the Web via Dart by John McCutchan
Are you ready to make software on the web even faster? The Dart VM is adding experimental support for Single Instruction Multiple Data (SIMD) operations. SIMD operations unlock the full performance of CPUs by performing 4 operations at once. That's a 4x speedup. Every smart phone, tablet, and PC includes a SIMD processor which sits unused. Come learn about Dart, SIMD, and making your web software fast.
About John McCutchan
John is a Developer Programs Engineer at Google. While an undergraduate, John created inotify (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inotify)—the Linux kernel filesystem event notification system used in every Linux distribution and Android phone. After receiving an M.Sc. in Computer Science from McMaster University, John joined Sony Computer Entertainment of America, where he optimized the Bullet Physics library for the PlayStation 3. John also developed Move.Me, which gave hobbyists, students, and researchers an open source SDK for the PlayStation Move controller on their PCs.
