5 more registrations needed to lift Singapore's ranking...
http://counter.li.org...

Singapore is no. 44 in the density statistics, with 68.4031 users/Mpop
Singapore needs 5 more users to pass Lithuania and become no. 43

I had a similar problem as yours, try this URL before U add you machine.
http://counter.li.org...
(write down your "Linux Counter Reg#, it is needed later)

Then get your machine counted:
http://counter.li.org...
(write down your "Machine Counter Reg#, it is needed later)

Then you are forwarded on to:
http://counter.li.org...

Where U can download machine-update: (U dont have to do this as root)
$ Change it to be executable (chmod +x machine-update)
$ Run "./machine-update -i" to enter information
$ Run "./machine-update -m" to send mail
$ Run "./machine-update -c" to add it to your crontab file

Check you machine on the webpage:
http://counter.li.org...
(U need to have logged in)

Important note....
Your linux mail may need to be set up too...
eg. Doe this command work?
echo hello world | mail -s "test" your-email-address@yahoo.com

If not, then the the mail sent by cron will probably bounce.
(I also had a problem as my return address was regarded as relaying. I guess machine-update program was written BEFORE spam was a big problem

So I logged onto gmail.com and sent the output from machine-update directly from gmail...

To: machine-registration@counter.li.org
Subject: machine-update for november.3ttechnology.com

//MACHINE
accounts: 4
[snip details etc...]
users: 0
//END

I will talk to the SG Maintainer(s): Sanjeev Gupta, Mathias Koerber next time I see them. There are obviously some issues here. I even tried machine-update-beta, it doesnt seem to use http to send the data (as it suggests).

Let me know if yours works...

You mean people still care about the counter? :p

I'm registered some years ago, can't remember the number though.

Well I have now registered using Konqueror as firefox was not submitting for some reason.

Looks like we dropped to 7 more registrations :(

I had problems also... it seems that the "Linux Index" server itself is marking all email from Singapore as "relayed email". Maybe this is because the "from address" in linux differs from the "host domain".

I cut and pasted my result into a gmail account and it got registered. But there must be an easier way to automate this. (I even tried their Beta Software which was meant to have http access)crying
