Jimmy's gets a large turnout (15-20 teams) vying for prizes (and/or bragging rights)--good music, good food, good company.  Let's put the flotsam and jestam and lagan floating around in our brains together and learn a lot of useless stuff.

Watch for our table sign.

If you're unable to come on Friday nights, Mandy of the Maine Social Meetup is getting trivia teams together on Tuesday, the 18th, at Jimmy the Greek's. She offers this every several weeks or so. If you go, you will see a large group and other members of Scarboro Gamers.

We had two teams last Friday playing under the names Scarborough Gamers and Team Rocket. Team Rocket (Glenn, Leslee, me and my granddaughter Megan)came in second place. If you haven't participated lately, Emcee Don has made a few changes--no more carnival competitions (basket toss, ring toss). He has introduced a new format called 4x4--the right answer is worth 4 pts. if you put down only one guess. Make 2 guesses and the value drops to 3 pts, etc. Another addition: majority rules. Teams try to guess the most popular answer amongst all the teams. Example: what is the most popular ice cream? If you guess what most teams answered, you get 10 pts. Did you know in what decade NFL players began wearing jerseys with their names on the back? Can people dream in color? How many feet below sea level is the Dead Sea? Team with closest answer "without going over" wins points. Come join us.
