A Year in Web3
**************************************
Ever wondered what its like working in Web3? Wonder no more as I walk you through my experience working in the field for a year. I’ll be covering the pros and cons, who I recommend the field to, who I don’t, and what the rest of us can do if we don’t want to fully join the field but still want to see what its like. Also, if there’s some extra time after the talks finished, I’ll be covering some micro-topics about how I’ve seen the prevalence of the open source philosophy affect the Web3 industry and some macro trends I’ve noticed in Web3.
Christopher Baunach has worked in a variety of industries from education, to medical, and is currently working on the software side of retail at Apex Systems. While the bulk of his experience is on the frontend, he’s had to assist with many different backends throughout his career ranging from python to C# and Java to Node.

Terraform 101
**************************************
Building on the cloud and tired of all that pointing and clicking to provision resources? Ever worry about infrastructure parity for your various dev/test/prod environments? Ever think "there's gotta be a better way to do this"?
Tools like terraform combined with other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) are great at solving these problems and making the cloud development experience positive for Developers, QA, Security Analysts, and many more.
Ben Pomerenke, a software developer with over 15 years experience in the industry, learned the benefits of terraform specifically over 5 years and has leveraged it in over 7 different projects. He will be going over the basics with a demonstration and will allude to deeper topics you can explore on your own should you choose. He doesn't guarantee terraform will solve all your problems, but maybe by seeing one IaC tool in action, you'll be inspired to leverage similar technology in your software development environment.
