Guess there is an online community for PHP Programmers in Singapore after all. :D
Short intro... Michael Cheng here, i've been coding PHP since 2000; i am currently CTO of Comwerks Pte Ltd, a local eMarketing start-up. I started the PHP User Group (http://www.php.com.sg... (http://www.php.com.sg)) earlier this year and it has since grown to a modest size of 50 members.
As we all know, PHP is slowly gaining traction amongst corporates here in Singapore. Sadly, there seems to be shortage of competent PHP coders. It is my hope that the PHP User Group will help build and foster such a community.
First and foremost, membership in PHP User Group is free. And in organizing this informal meet and greet, I hope to meet like minded individuals, geeks and entrepreneurs alike. Students are welcomed too.
Let's meet and discuss how we as a PHP community can take initiative in cultivating a vibrant marketplace here in Singapore. I don't see tremendous change happening overnight... but let's see how we can make a difference.
I have not formally book the location yet as its just an informal gathering. Just RSVP and we'll see what we can do.
