About us

Our group helps you explore the world armed with a deeper cultural understanding and empathy. We introduce places beyond the usual tourist hangouts and discuss how to connect with locals. We encourage members to share their insights from their travels and figure out local trends, happenings, business opportunities and the aspirations of the people far and near.

Our group may be most suited to people who like to travel solo, but we do welcome all. We do have meetups for people who are travelling solo for the first time, people travelling with infants or elderly family members, and those travelling with limited mobility. We also try to apprise you of travel scams and rackets, safe travel tips, and useful online research techniques.

Member and meet participant data protection

We do not send commercial messages or post external events (more so events that harvest emails, reek of scam/ MLM). If any member hassles you for emails, private contacts etc., please let us know, we will be happy to block the offender.

We may sometimes post photos from the meetup. We will not identify you, nor tag your photo. If you do not want to appear in the photo, please let us know.

For show and tell sessions, we may request you to email your travel photos in advance. However, we will delete your email (or mobile message) and pictures at the end of the meetup.
