She's Coding meeting (women-only)

Join us for an evening of fun, networking, making friends, discussions, coding and more, whether you are a current She's Coding ( volunteer or want to learn more about what we are doing!

We are looking forward to a talk by Mahnaz Akbari (, a data scientist and founder of the new Women in Data Science Seattle meetup. Mahnaz will talk about a "Path to Data Science", and will touch topics such as what data science is, the importance of diversity in data science teams, different roles related to data science projects, where to start to and whom to connect to to get into the field.

What is She's Coding? She's Coding is an open-source project that aims to close the gender gap in tech through community involvement, education, and empowerment. We love your involvement and are always on the lookout for passionate people of all skill sets that want to help out -- coders, designers, content producers, project managers, and more.

What is going on at our monthly meetings? We meet every fourth Thursday of a month. Meet the She's Coding team & fellow volunteers, plan future She's Coding features, talk about events & opportunities, etc. We often feature speakers from within the community - please let us know if you're interested in talking (beginners and test talk runs welcome).

Our meetup is a safe, inclusive, welcoming, non-intimidating & beginner-friendly space.

Please message the organizers if you or your company are interested in sponsoring these event (food, drinks, give-aways). Thanks!
