About 5.5 miles. Moderate pace, about 2- 2.5 mph, hiking northward along Hudson River trails, mostly paved or hard graveled, except for the OCR (Old Croton Aqueduct) Trail, until we reach our destination (Scarborough train station). We'll walk along the Hudson River, passing through parks and suburban neighborhoods. Bring lunch or a snack. Restrooms are at the beginning of the hike- none thereafter. Guests welcome. If you bring a guest, they will need to sign in online.

Free parking at the Tarrytown Train Station. Drivers will find lots of free parking by the train station. Meet there around 10 AM to greet the arriving 10:18 AM train.

Public Transportation: (from the 10/5/25 MetroNorth Hudson Line schedule) Take the 9:25 AM train from Grand Central Terminal or points north and arrive and exit in Tarrytown, NY, at 10:18 AM.
The returning train from Scarborough leaves once an hour at 12 minutes past the hour. We'll be on the 1:12 PM or 2:12 PM train back to Tarrytown and the city. There are turnaround points anywhere along the hike. No pets.
