Starting at the Washington/Clinton Aveue G train stop we'll walk 1 flat mile to The Naval Cemetery Landscape, a native plant meadow & pollinator habitat on the site of a former Naval Hospital, where a Brooklyn Greenway docent will provide a brief historical talk. We'll have lunch at the cemetery before walking to the Bedford Library.

From there we will walk about 1.6 miles to the Bedford Public Library on 496 Franklin Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11238. A docent will ead us through an exhibit of The Warehouse, a collaboration between writer and artist Vic Liu, abolitionist organizer Mariame Kaba, and Bedford Library in conjunction with BPL's Justice Initiatives. Following the movie we will walk to Fulton Street where the C train is available. We will continue to Eastern Parkway and Franklin Ave where the 2, 3 4 and 5 trains are available. Those wishing a longer walk of about 1.6 miles may continue to Grand Army Plaza where the 2 and 5 trains are.
Rain will alter the itinerary to the Bedford Library only.
Please understand that I stop frequently to allow the group to coalesce. This walk may not be for you if you wish to walk at a faster, uninterrupted pace.
