Learn night photography at the Monuments

The monuments at night provide photography enthusiasts a perfect excursion to capture the other side of Washington. On our night photography Photo Tour, a professional photographer will lead you to DC's most memorable night time sights.

In small groups, you will learn how to photograph each of the Monuments using natural light. You will learn how to make White Balance decisions and even use High Dynamic Range to create evening magic.

Your photo tour will begin at the haunting faces of the Korean War Memorial and continue in the majestic presence of the Lincoln Memorial. We will wander down to the World War II Memorial to explore the many ways to showcase its grandeur.

Bring your Digital SLRs and tripods on this tour, as you will need the flexibility to capture the best of DC at night.

MORE BENEFITS:

• Maximum instructor to student ration of 1:12

• Individual coaching as you work on the techniques

• E-book after photo tour with the principles covered during instruction

Lynford, thank you for the information in the email. Do you have any info on parking near that location, as I have only ever taken the Metro to the monument area.

Good Josh, Now Im confused - Are we meeting at the KWM or at the LM? Look forward to seeing you and the rest of the group too.

So I learned a couple things last night. 1- Pay attention to the date, apparently this is next Saturday
2- The address listed is about a mile from the Korean War Memorial, so for folks who are driving don't be surprised if you don't see anything at the street address listed. That being said I noodled around last night and got some good shots, and I'm looking forward to actually seeing everyone next week!

Is there transportation between memorials or are they all on the mall? Which are included?

    May 19, 2014

    • Lynford M.

We meet at the Lincoln Memorial and walk to each stop. I've listed them in the event description. Hope that helps!
