    Join us for some productive writing on Monday mornings this year! No one will see what you've written or give you unsolicited advice. We’ve discovered that it’s strikingly helpful to write with other writers. See if it’s true for you by joining our Monday mornings group! Be it a book, blog, script, essay, dissertation, resume, melody, poem or just plain work stuff, you are invited to write it with us. Instead of just thinking about writing, come and get some real writing done. SCHEDULE: 10:30 - quick intros. 10:40 - timer starts: write for 1 hour. 11:40 - break 11:50 - timer starts again: write for another hour 12:50 - Timer ends so feel free to take off, or keep writing. We will have the space until 1:30 PM What Should I Bring? Photo ID to check-in & whatever you need to be able to write!     Join us for an hour of writing! You can write anything you want to, doesn't have to be for a specific project. No one will see what you've written or give you unsolicited advice. Just come write! We usually meet every week, even though it says we meet every other week. Check the Shut Up & Write calendar to see all the dates. IMPORTANT: there are a limited number of spots. RSVP only if you can make it, and update as soon as possible if your plans change. Be kind to those waiting for spots to open. BEING LATE IS OKAY: just show up and get settled, then check-in with me after the session. (I’ll be the person with the Shut Up & Write! sign.) You are welcome to chat / take off / keep writing. OPTIONAL SOCIALIZING: happens at 8:00p. Writing is very solitary. Connecting (and sometimes even commiserating) with other writers is a cool thing. What Should I Bring? Whatever you need to be able to write! Bring earbuds/earplugs if you want to block the cafe’s overhead music or the occasional conversation by other patrons. Come with your laptop fully charged, a backup battery, or a portable battery charging pack if you need to. Please note, there is no Wifi available. TRAVEL: F and A/C trains are the closest. F train stop is York. Turn right as you come out of the station. Cross the intersection and walk one block, make a left onto Front St., make a right onto Pearl St. A/C train stop is High Street station, get out the Adams St. exit, make a right as you come out of the station, and walk to the intersection. Then turn left onto Pearl St. PARKING: There is limited street parking in Dumbo. Be it a book, blog, script, essay, dissertation, resume, melody, poem or just plain work stuff, you are invited to write it with us. No one will see what you've written or give you unsolicited advice. Instead of just thinking about writing, come and get some real writing done. SCHEDULE: 1:00pm: intros. 1:15 - timer starts: write for 1 hour. 2:15 - break time and water/coffee stretch break 2:30 - round two of focused writing 3:30 - stretch number 2. 3:45-5:15pm - push to the end. 5:15 - (the end) chat / take off / keep writing. WeWork graciously provides free coffee, tea and fruit water. As a final note: please make sure to leave the room clean. PLEASE NOTE: This a small SUAW meetup, unlike other larger gatherings in public spaces, because our assigned room is not big. We normally have a waitlist every week; therefore past No Shows not welcome. WeWork 1460 Broadway requires a Photo ID and your Full Name preregistered on the main attendee list (not waitlist, sorry, and no walk-ins) in order to gain admittance. Meet us in the back room of Panera Bread on Route 17, Ramsey. 7 p.m. Show up early, settle in, and either socialize or start writing 7:15 p.m. Introductions, share what you're working on. 7:30 p.m. Start writing. An hour of silence and solid writing! 8:35 p.m. Brief follow up. People are encouraged to share experiences & ideas, network or take off as they like. Feel free to keep writing if you've got the momentum going!

An hour of silence and solid writing! 8:05- Brief follow up. People are encouraged to share experiences & ideas, network or take off as they like. Feel free to keep writing if you've got the momentum going! (The organizers will facilitate and keep time.) If you're spending too much time THINKING about writing, come and join us for a session of focused writing. It may just be "pipe-cleaning" for now, but you'll feel better showing up at the page. No one will see what you've written or give you unsolicited advice. WHERE: David Rubenstein Atrium, 62nd Street and Broadway. (BACKUP LOCATION: Argo Tea, 58th St & bway unless otherwise noted.) PLEASE NOTE: This a mid-sized SUAW meetup. At 14 (fourteen) seats we should have enough space for regular attendees but there may be a waitlist at times.
