We'd love to have you join us every Monday and Wednesday morning for a casual, mostly silent group writing experience. Come when you can; leave when you must. No matter what kind of project you're working on, whether it's poetry, blog posts, dissertations, or science fiction, we'll be happy to have you.
It's always more fun to write in the company of other writers. And it's a lot more productive. So please, come sit with us and make our friendly, happy group even friendlier and happier.
Sabino's is a cozy little neighborhood coffee shop at the corner of Estudillo Ave. and MacArthur Blvd. -- within spitting distance of the I-580 freeway. It's got WIFI, an abundance of power outlets, and even affordable coffee! And it's one of the friendliest places you'll ever visit. [NOTE: Sabino's is happy to host us whether we buy anything or not, but we always try to support them by giving in to a little creativity-inducing self-indulgence.]
9:00 AM - Optional Introductions
12:00 PM - Optional Socializing -- maybe over lunch?
12:30 PM - Some of us may opt to keep writing. Or not.
BEING LATE IS OKAY: Just find the Shut Up & Write! sign (on nice mornings we like to hang out on the back patio), say 'hi' to everyone, get settled wherever you want, and start writing.
WHAT SHOULD I BRING?
Whatever you need to be able to write!
A light jacket (just in case).
Earbuds or earplugs in case you want to block the shop’s overhead music or the conversations by other patrons.
Parking is free and readily available. If you can't find a spot on MacArthur, you're welcome to park in the "Rite Aid" lot across the street.
