Come join us to write at Jay's Cafe in Alameda, a sweet spot in the center of town. Jay's has wi-fi, good coffee, delicious baked goods made on site, as well as soups and sandwiches. It looks tiny from the outside but there's a separate room to the left of the counter with comfortable chairs and tables and a fresh, clean ambiance. By starting at 2:00 we'll avoid most of the lunch crowd so there should be plenty of room.
Here's the plan: Come in and get settled wherever you want to work. No formal check-in, but if you see me (I'll have a small Shut Up & Write sign on my table) just let me know that you're there and you're part of the group. Start writing. We'll break at 3:00 for introductions and check-in--that way people who need to arrive late or leave early can still participate. After the check-in, you can continue writing until the cafe closes at 5:00.
Parking: Street parking is generally easy to find.
***As a courtesy to other writers who want to attend, if you RSVP Yes and then later decide not to come, PLEASE change your RSVP to No so someone on the Waiting list can move up. ***
