Come by for an hour of morning writing with fellow creative folks at the new state-of-the art West End Public Library with a great attached cafe. Everyone works on their own thing, no obligation to share—just show up and make any kind of words happen. If you're spending too much time thinking about writing, come by for an hour of focused writing. Why is Shut Up & Write(!) so effective? (http://arsenalofwords.com/2015/10/14/why-i-shut-up-write/)
10:00 - quick check-in - what will you work on?
10:15 - shut up and write for 1 hour
11:15 - quick check-in - how did it go? Feel free to move to the open floor of the library to keep writing or to have lunch at Bluestone Corner. West End Public Library is open until 9:00pm.
Whatever you need to be able to write! Add headphones if you prefer your own soundtrack to the hush of the library (or the laughter of children in the Children's section near the conference room).
The library is state of the art - with fast WiFi and plenty of outlets.
Foggy Bottom Metro is blocks away. The Library entrance is on L Street, Northwest between 23rd and 24th.
Coffee is allowed in the Conference Room - so feel free to bring some along!
P.S. While Lisa's away from DC for part of the summer, Jeffrey Miller will be stepping in as organizer. Thanks, Jeff!
