Shut Up & Write in Fairport

NOTICE: Find our group @ Shutupwrite.com (read that again) to sign up for future events). Join us for an hour of focused writing time at 6:30 pm, followed by optional social time on Monday's at Preservation Beer Company! Writing with other writers can be incredibly motivating and inspiring. All writers and all experience levels are welcome. Under 18 yrs old must be accompanied by an adult.

ALTERNATE LOCATION- if there’s a conflict w/Preservation Brewery for any reason, we’ll meet at
Starbucks, 64 S. Main St, Fairport, NY.

Whether you're working on a book, journal, blog, screenplay, poetry, music lyrics, dissertation or just work stuff, you're invited to write with us. Don’t worry, no one will see what you've written nor provide critiques.

• 6:30pm - Arrive and get settled.
• 6:40ish - Quick intros.
• 6:45pm - Timer starts & 1 hour of silent writing begins.
• 7:45pm - The end of the writing session is announced.
• 7:45pm- Optional socializing begins.

Being late is okay-just come in and get quietly settled. If you were on time, please be friendly and make room for any latecomers.

VENUE INFO:

• Best to have laptops & devices fully charged ahead, since outlets are limited.

• Bring earbuds or headphones if you want to block-out music and the chatter of other patrons.

• WiFi is free and available.

• Beer, wine, cider, non-alcoholic seltzer water and "Dirty" brand potato chips are available. Please thank our hosts by purchasing something. No outside drinks other than a water bottle, but snacks are okay to bring with you.

• If you RSVP & can't make it, PLEASE EDIT YOUR RSVP & CANCEL ASAP, PRIOR TO THE EVENT, to make room for another writer who may be on the waiting list! FYI- Commenting on the signup page that you can’t attend, does not cancel your RSVP. Thank you!
