Join us for a 5.5 mile hike on the First Manassas Trail in Manassas, VA. After the hike, interested individuals can join us for lunch at the Cracker Barrel restaurant.
From the Visitor Center, we will proceed north as we begin a clockwise hike on the loop trail designated as First Manassas. The hike includes open fields, forested areas, and a section along Bull Run.
Length: 5.5 Miles
Estimated Time: Two Hours 15 Minutes
Hike Pace: 2.5 mph
Trail Type: Grass, wood chips, crushed stone, dirt, and boardwalk.
Elevation Gain: 300 feet
Hike Type: Loop
Stream Crossings: There are no stream crossings.
Skill Level: Easy
What to Bring: Sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, insect repellent, and water.
Dogs Are Permitted: Per National Park Service Regulations, dogs are permitted on this hike provided they are on a leash.
Facilities: Restroom facilities are available at the Visitor Center.

From the Beltway (I-495) in Virginia, take Interstate 66 west towards Front Royal. Proceed 17 miles to exit 47B. From the exit, you go north on Sudley Road (VA-234) for .6 miles to the Manassas National Battlefield Park Visitor's Center, which is on the right.
For those interested, after the hike, we can proceed to the Cracker Barrel restaurant (10801 Battleview Parkway, Manassas, VA ), which is half-a-mile from the Visitor's Center.
