This group is for those who love to art. Today there are so many types of mediums and artwork is being created in thousands of ways. Not just pen, pencil, paint and paper or canvas. The entire universe is your canvas and everything is your tool. There are too many ways to create art and to express yourself. I don't want this group to be confined to a box. I want to go outside the box and learn from what every person brings to this group. There is no level of drawing or art expertise that you specifically need to have to participate.
Its challenging to find time to do art when you are busy living life, and if you love art and wish you did more then these meetups will be a solution for you. I going to mix up doing artwork with going to museums. There will be time for free drawing at each meet up, although that will depend on where we are meeting. If we meet to draw, it can be pretty unstructured or we can have a theme.
I won't be teaching drawing. I don't know what everyone's level of ability is. Since I am an amateur artist I can offer advice.
I have been creating artwork since grade school. Growing up one my aunt was an art teacher and encouraged me to draw and paint. I thought I would follow in her footsteps teach art. That changed when the tech industry started growing and today I work designing printed circuit boards. I always wonder if I had not got sucked into the high-tech industry what I'd be doing today.
Long term goals for this group is just to get together and get inspired to create art and making the time to do it. I want all us to be involved and come up with new ideas. I am just looking to see where it takes me and who wants to come along and start there own art journey. It can be as simple as going to a park and drawing the scenery. We can get more technical as things evolve and more people get involved.
Below is a list of ideas that were left on this page. I apologize for taking so long to update this page. I like what Jennifer had in mind so I'm going to leave them and keep adding to it.
