• Bellow Fellows - new term / free taster

Come along for a free taster session at the start of Bellow Fellows summer term. Bellow Fellows is London's male voice community choir and meets regularly in central London. There are no auditions and everything is taught by ear in an encouraging and inclusive way We sing a variety of music, from well known pop to shanties, work songs & everything in-between. First session is always free, then after that you can sign up for a term or pay the drop-in rate. http://www.bellowfellows.com ---------- OPEN TO ALL (men) The choir welcomes men who have not sung - in a while/in a choir/ever - and who want an encouraging welcoming place to explore their voice. Through learning songs in harmony by ear, basic singing technique is covered and audio learning files are available to help the learning process. We sing a large variety of music, mainly a cappella (without accompaniment), from pop songs, poetry settings, shanties, gospel/blues to well known classics. All arranged especially for men's voices. PERFORMING For those who feel confident, we perform a handful of times throughout the year including informal sing-songs in pubs, fundraisers to more formal concerts with other choirs. 2017/2018 highlights have included supporting Chaps Choir at The Union Chapel, performing at Daylight Music, collaborating with Tradewinds choir at St Paul's Covent Garden and singing from a barge to passersby on the canal! WELCOMING We know that for some walking into a room with a new group can be a daunting prospect. The group is welcoming bunch of 35-40 men of various ages & backgrounds. We have a relaxed approach, whilst at the same time working on our sound, repertoire & musicality. Here is a quote from Simon a now-regular Bellow Fellow: 'On Tuesday night I went to my very first choir practice with 45 other men. This was so far outside of my comfort zone, I nearly turned around and walked away. It's now Friday and I am still floating on a cloud. Who knew singing in a group could be so joyful and uplifting? Can't wait for next Tuesday.' NEW TERM If you've never been to a session you are welcome to come along to try for free. You can join the choir at any point throughout the term, although I recommend you try and start at the beginning of a new term. 2019 spring term dates:[masked]pm @ LIFT, Blue Hall. 45 White Lion Street.
