$5 Movie/Half-Price Pizza Tuesdays! (LABOR DAY) Plus FREE POPCORN!

I'll be offering this incredible deal about every week or two throughout winter: ALL first-run movies at Marcus Cinema/Gurnee Mills are now just FIVE DOLLARS every Tuesday…and include FREE POPCORN!! Plus the excellent thin-crust pizzas at Fogcutter are HALF-PRICE! Shelley and I split a 12" BBQ Chicken/Onions/Bacon & Cheese Pizza and it only cost us $3.25 each…unheard of!

We'll meet first at Fogcutter, a place we've come to really like, with excellent service and low prices, located just 4 miles west of Gurnee Mills on Rt. 132, which offers half-priced pizza on Tuesdays, online raves about their burgers, $4.50 wines, and pretty low prices on beer and mixed drinks, including $4 Captain Morgan mixes. Then we'll hit Marcus Cinema for…

I apologize, but our original choice of seeing the movie "Gloria" was posted a few weeks ago, based on upcoming positive reviews of a film before its opening, and also my anticipation that it would be offered at Marcus Cinemas. At this time, it is not an option as it ended up in only small theaters nationwide, and not anywhere in our area. Therefore, instead, let's see "LABOR DAY," starring Josh Brolin steaming up the screen with Academy Award-winner Kate Winslet, telling the tale of an escaped prisoner who shows a single mother (held captive in her own home, with her 13-year-old son, Henry) the secrets of...baking?! Yes. The fugitive reveals his much gentler side, eventually earning the trust and...yes, love...of both mother and child. For anyone who has enjoyed any of the books or movies (based on books) of Nicholas Sparks*, this will be something you will surely enjoy!

"Labor Day" begins at 7:25pm. Whatever the MOVIE, we always SO enjoy these wonderful pizza-and-movie nights together...especially on a chilly Winter night when Cabin Fever is about to make you go crazy otherwise! Come join us...and see why!

*These include "The Notebook," "A Walk to Remember," "The Lucky One," "Safe Haven," "Nights in Rodanthe" and many more...
