My house guest from France, Awa, who is the 27-year-old chaperone for 9 foreign exchange students from France, will be joining us for this lovely day! She is exotic and fascinating, yet kind, sweet and a little bit shy. Let's welcome her with our warmth and conversation while getting great fresh air and exercise at one of our favorite forest preserves in Illinois. Then, an outdoor patio lunch together!
Come join us, AND make your calf muscles happy, for a 2-3-mile walk in what's considered as probably THE most beautiful Lake County Forest Preserve District property: Independence Grove in Libertyville! Full of sunshine, we'll circle their lake together on paved paths...taking in the scenery, deeply breathing in the fresh air, while visiting and laughing during the whole fun trek. Walk the walk, while we all talk the talk! (By the way, dogs are not allowed at this preserve, but will be welcomed at our future ones!)
As all our weekend walks always are, our Event Fee is just $2 instead of $3. Another great reason to come out and strut your stuff with us!
Afterwards, we'll reward our healthiness with lunch at Tommy's Pizza (137 Lake Street, Libertyville, 847-3632-4040), with a great outdoor (covered!) patio dining section! Let's just enjoy this, soaking up sunshine, and enjoying the warmth of our friends!
