There was a little confusion that may need to be cleared up: We are not donating hair for this event. We will most likely be helping to sort already donated hair.
Let's volunteer @ 'Wigs for Kids' in Westlake. For more than 30 years, Wigs for Kids has been providing Hair Replacement Systems and support for children who have lost their hair due to chemotherapy, radiation therapy, Alopecia, Trichotillomania, burns and other medical issues. Wigs for Kids runs hair donation programs in order to create wigs made from real hair for children in need.
Saturday, Dec 3 at 10:30am. Wigs for Kids is located at 24231 Center Ridge Rd., in Westlake, Ohio.
From Wigs for Kids: "We are located in a historical home, between the Achievement Center and Gale’s Garden Center and it sits far back from the road.
If you have any trouble finding us, please feel free to call us @[masked]-4433.
Please look for Gale’s Garden Center (please look for the Gales board as it is more visible than our board) and park in their parking lot next to the donation box.
We are on the right of Gales, in a house that is painted white with grey roof. Feel free to call us if you find it difficult to locate us.

More details to come... Our contact at 'Wigs For Kids' will give us the details of exactly what we will be doing at some point in the week leading up to this event, but the last time I volunteered with Wigs for Kids, there were two choices, 1. Sorting hair, and 2. Data entry. I think it will be similar this time, but I'm not 100% sure yet.
Space is limited and there will be a wait-list if we get too full, so please RSVP 'yes', but only if you're pretty sure that you can make it. If your plans change, please give us advance notice if at all possible. I will need to let them know how many volunteers we have coming with us a few days in advance of the event. If our members no-show or change their RSVPs too late, it will result in less volunteers because they have limited space. Also, it may hurt our credibility if we want to return to volunteer again in the future. Read about our new attendance policy here.
