Critic Consensus Fun movie with some good twists. What an intelligent, clever film. Guy Ritchie nails it again. Hugh Grant and the rest of the cast must have really enjoyed working on this project. I loved the twists and I was captivated from start to finish. Great soundtrack, overall very funny dialogue and an enjoyable film from start to finish. The Gentlemen" never ceases to surprise and amuse. The Gentlemen is a clever and thoroughly entertaining movie that sees Guy Ritchie returning to the past to recover the novelty that made him famous in the first place. "The Gentlemen" is interesting and has a style of its own. The story is told in a witty and clever form by Hugh Grant (Fletcher) and will make you want to hear it all. The movie has a lot of action and tons of comedy as well as great acting from everyone - Definitely Recommended! THE STORY THE GENTLEMEN follows American expat Mickey Pearson (Matthew McConaughey) who built a highly profitable marijuana empire in London. When word gets out that he's looking to cash out of the business forever it triggers plots, schemes, bribery and blackmail in an attempt to steal his domain out from under him.
