Located in southwestern Utah, Zion National Park encompasses some of the most scenic canyon country in the United States. Within its 229 square miles are high plateaus, a maze of narrow, deep, sandstone canyons, and the Virgin River and its tributaries. Zion also has 2,000-foot Navajo Sandstone cliffs, pine- and juniper-clad slopes, and seeps, springs, and waterfalls supporting lush and colorful hanging gardens.
I will take everyone go hiking to some best easy trails in Zion National Park.
Weeping Rock - Short and sweet, this hike packs a lot of beauty into a brief walk. This is probably the most traveled trail in the park.
Riverside Walk - This nice paved path allows you to get your feet wet in the Zion Narrows and to get a sneak peak of one of the best trails in the USA and the best trail in the National Park System. This trail is in the top three most traveled trails in Zion.
Canyon Overlook - See my picture, it isn't difficult to get there, most of people can do it.
Break out of Zion Canyon and enjoy this fun hike that begins at the Zion-Mt. Carmel Tunnel and climbs to an impressive view of the Zion Switchbacks and lower Zion Canyon. The beauty is that it is a high altitude view (due to the higher elevation on the east side of the park) without the work of hiking to the top of something like Observation Point or Angels Landing.
For detail & pictures of the trails we are going to hike, please check the link below - check very top of three trials.
CARPOOLING: Those who volunteer to drive will be putting 360+ miles RT on their auto. Please give your driver a fair share for gas, wear, transporting your gear/food, suggest $20-25/person.
Lunch: You should plan to pack snacks and lunch as we will have picnic out there.
When RSVP: Please indicate if you are willing to drive and how many passengers you can take.
