what we are doing

Want inspiration, interaction, involvement, and insanely good calves?

→ bicycle touring is your answer!

Seriously there are very few other ways to have such 'rich' experiences with people and places than going on a cycling tour. I can share my experiences of cycle touring - not as a cycling expert but as someone who loves to learn and interact with societies, cultures, environment and life to its fullest as often as possible.

what you will learn

Preparation → what kind of trip, what you want out of it, where you want to go, when, how long, what you need, anything else…?

Day to day → routine, following the theme/objective, food/water/shelter, interaction and fun/memorable elements

Make a trip and 'speed date' it → what does your idea cycle tour trip look like?

Compose and share it with others and ARM (Add Replace Modify) to have a tangible ready-to-go plan for a bike tour starting when you want!

d'Arcy -

I’m a teacher, campaigner, volunteer and enjoy riding a bike - I don’t even know if I am a cyclist! In the past 12 years I have been fortunate to travel, teach and volunteer in 58 countries learning and experiencing along the way. I found a method of interacting with people and places for quality learning and experiences. The best of these experiences is usually on a bike.

Cycle touring gives me the chance to think, reflect, interact and enrich life and it would be a great pleasure to share some insights and learning with others to see them have the best quality experiences with new places and new people.

I’ve only ever done cycle touring in developed countries as advocacy trips. The four tours have have done have been in South Australia, Aotearoa New Zealand, Melbourne to Brisbane and the USA and Canada - the last one was last year where I journeyed 1000 miles in the US and Canada while living on less than $1.50/day for all my food and drink as a part of the Live Below the Line campaign -
