Some of you came to the presentation on this subject in September. Today I listened to an excellent talk on The Thinking Atheist podcast and thought some of you might be interested in listening too.
There are also links to his book on Amazon, his talk at TAM, and a conversation with Richard Dawkins. Have fun learning.

I can't make it to this one, but really looking forward to meeting everyone soon. Will there be another like this one in the future?

There are a couple of other "talking to Christians" things which take place in Kansas City. One is on Facebook which is called "Cuddle Session with Rob and Max". What is written on this group page may be read by the public, but you have to click on the Join button before you can post anything. The KCAC does an "Ask a Atheist" booth several times a year. They were just at the Plaza Art Fair last weekend. You can also find their webpage on FB under Kansas City Atheist Coalition.

Here is the video which talks about the split brain experiment and how one side of the brain would answer questions differently from the other, including the question of a belief in god.http://www.youtube.co...
One way to improve your ability to speak about your beliefs, is to practice. You will get an opportunity to do this at this workshop. It is also a good idea to listen to others talk to believers and also ask for their advice. Here is a short video from the call in show Atheist Experience, where a caller asks the hosts, Don and Jeff, for some advice on how to talk to the Jehovah Witnesses who come by and talk to him. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Itg2lqOE66E

I especially liked Jeff's remarks in the last 30 seconds about how providing misinformation could reinforce the ideas of the other person
